After graduating, he worked as an advisor in the Honduran Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2015, he was appointed Ambassador of Honduras to the Republic of China (Taiwan). During his tenure in Taiwan, he worked to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. In 2019, he was appointed Ambassador of Honduras to the United States.
